A Picture Speaks A Thousand Words.

From visual metaphor to typographic storytelling.

The Concept: What if you could describe an image using only words, exactly 1,000 of them? Inspired by the photography of Paul Thompson, this project set out to prove that typography can evoke emotion, narrative, and composition with the same power as a lens.

The Execution: Each typographic layout mirrors a single photograph, meticulously designed to reflect its tone, structure, and subject. Every element was intentional, from typeface to alignment, turning written language into a visual medium.

The Impact: Celebrated with multiple D&AD awards, a Cannes Lions feature, and inclusion in Smile in the Mind, this work stands as proof that typography isn’t just design, it’s storytelling, image-making, and art direction in its purest form.
